Dr. Yu Interviewed on Today’s THV11 About Mindfulness Classes

Dr. Yu on THV11UAMS will is offering mindfulness-based stress reduction classes in the fall. MBSR is the gold standard and one of the most research-validated mindfulness interventions in the scientific literature. UAMS Mindfulness Program offering MBSR this Spring 2020!

We are excited to announce that the UAMS Mindfulness Program will begin offering the evidence-based 8-week intensive Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program!

Our Spring 2020 MBSR Course will occur in April-May 2020. (Cancelled due to COVID-19 health safety concerns)

Student Wellness Week, Nov. 4-8

Next week is Student Wellness Week at UAMS. Many activities are scheduled throughout the week that are designed to promote wellness, including guest speakers on wellness topics, therapy dog visits, and movie showings. There will also be daily mindfulness sessions with Puru Thapa, M.D., M.P.H, and our mindfulness program faculty. Our mindfulness sessions will be held from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. in Rahn G230. We hope to see you there!
